Minimum Bias Physics at LHCb

Abstract

LHCb, the smallest of the large LHC experiments, is a forward spectrometer covering the angular range 2 < η\eta < 5 with tracking, calorimetry and particle identification. Partial coverage of the backward hemisphere is also provided by the vertex detector. Here a brief overview is given over the first minimum bias physics results from LHCb. In addition, prospects for diffractive studies using the VeLo to select rapidity gap events are discussed
