Abstract

McCutcheon won the Pulitzer Prize in 1932 for this Great Depression related cartoon. Contrary to the Tribune's political stance at the time, McCutcheon was a firm supporter of Roosevelt and the New Deal and never drew a cartoon that supported the paper's point of view during the first 4 1/2 years of Roosevelt's administration.Destination Indiana - John T.
