Abstract

In the undergraduate program of civil engineering at the Javeriana University, in 2014 were conducted surveys self-assessment to the students who were finishing their educational process where the parameters of academic training established by ABET were evaluated. Since this, 30% of respondents indicated having problems at the moment of apply engineering solutions, taking in consideration socioeconomics, environmental and ethical aspects, among others aspects. On the other hand, 30% showed problems in the oral and written communication and 6% admitted lack of knowledge of the context of regional and national engineering. Given the need to improve the teaching in the program, it seeks implement integrated projects in the introductory courses (Engineering II), in order to generate an interconnectivity with the different areas of knowledge of the career, where it incorporates the analysis and designing of solutions to real problems since the beginning. This is intended to stimulate the development of skills that will be useful during the training process and later in their professional life.Ingeniero (a) CivilPregrad
