Component-based Discrete Event Simulation Using the Fractal Component Model
Abstract
In this paper we show that Fractal, a generic component model coming from the Component-Based Software Engineering (CBSE) community, meets most of the functional expectations identified so far in the simulation community for component-based modeling and simulation. We also demonstrate that Fractal offers additional features that have not yet been identified in the simulation community despite their potential usefulness.
