Práce se zabývá souvislostí vzniku absurdního divadla s filosofickým hnutím existencionalismu a především analyzuje dvě hry Edwarda Albeeho, "Kdo se bojí Virginie Woolfové" a "Křehkou rovnováhu" z hlediska mezilidské komunikace. Závěr práce poskytuje Albeeho pojetí života a smrti.Dokončená práce s úspěšnou obhajobo
