Abstract

The Hermitage, in Brookville, Indiana, has hosted many of the state’s most celebrated artists. J. Ottis Adams and T.C. Steele bought the home in 1898 and Steele’s wife, Libbie named it. Artists William Forsyth and Otto Stark, were frequent visitors. This image shows an exterior view of the building in 1903
