本稿は、アラン・トマスの財産所有デモクラシーの構想における職場民主主義の位置づけを検討する。トマスは、市場の効率性を理由に企業規制を忌避するから、政府の介入で職場民主主義を導入することに否定的である。これに対し本稿は、職場民主主義は人々の政治的主体性の確立に重要との観点から、組織のあり方をより民主主義的なものにするため企業を規制すべきだとし、その根拠に政策レベルでの卓越主義を導入することを論じる。departmental bulletin pape
