OBJECTIVES: The present case was designed to evaluate the clinical outcomes of guided bone regeneration of unintentionally occurred implant dehiscence defect. METHODS: The 24 yr old lady was referred to department of Periodontics. She had lost her tooth due to endodontic failure 1 yr back. Clinical examination was performed followed by Radiological and Cast analysis. Primary examinations include Clinical Attachment Level (CAL), Pocket Probing Depth (PPD) and Plaque Index (PI). Radiological Analysis consisting of Intra- Oral Peri apical X-rays, OPG, Dentascan of Maxilla. Initial phase I Therapy, subsequently 3.3x10mm threaded Implant (US-FDA Certified) was placed, resulting 5 to 6 thread were visible due to dehiscence then, Bio-oss with resorbable barrier membrane (BioMesh) were placed to cover the defect. 6 month later during second stage surgery, re-entry was performed.RESULTS:Clinically the defect was 100% restored by the GBR. The patient was satisfied with her treatment after more than 18 month.CONCLUSIONS: The use of Bio-oss and BioMesh is effective in guided bone regeneration procedure for restoration of unintentionally occurred facial dehiscence associated with placement of implant.
