positive and negative characteristics of modern ski for alpine skiing

Abstract

This theoretical thesis aims to describe and show the structural features of today's skis for alpine skiing at the recreational and competitive level. Also this work will be systematized division of skis in terms of its purpose and describe in detail the advantages and disadvantages of today's skis, both for recreational alpine skiers and for racers in Alpine skiing. Specifically, as the carving skis systematically applied in competition and recreational area for more than twenty-five years, based on the available literature it is possible to do an analysis of good and possibly define the disadvantages of modern skis. Explain what led to the production of today's skis, but it is a known fact that in many professional and graduate work described. But from a distance of twenty-five years applied carving skis, it is possible to make an analysis from different aspects. One of the important aspects of this analysis, the impact of today's skis on health skiers recreational and competitive levels. Specifically, the development of carving skis over the years has greatly influenced the technique of skiing and its learning, as well as the locomotor system of skiers. A new trend in recent years is the production of specific skis for different types of terrain and snow, then for ski parks and ski jumps, which have certain deviations from standard carving skis.. Their classification and characteristics will also be treated in this thesis. Furthermore, this paper will attempt to outline the manufacturing process and the processing methods of the various materials used in ski production
