Videos of pre-service teachers' search strategies when sourcing educational information on the Internet

Abstract

This data is part of the study “Pre-service teachers’ search strategies when sourcing educational information on the Internet" (Zimmermann, Engel, Mayweg, 2022) and mainly consists of videos showing screen recordings of pre-service teachers sourcing for online educational information on the Internet. We provide a) 77 .mkv files entailing the videos showing participants' search behavior. b) a .sav file entailing the SPSS dataset, incl. variables describing the search behavior (e.g., rank on search engine result page of selected Web items) (see Zimmermann, Engel, & Mayweg, 2022). c) a PDF. document with a description of data collection and participants as well as the both corresponding publications: The related paper describing the search behavior, search strategies, and corresponding variables of the SPSS file: Zimmermann M., Engel, O., & Mayweg-Paus, E.
